A RURAL RETREAT - YOUR GATEWAY TO THE FLINDERS RANGES
(See also our City Retreat NBCity below)
Situated on 400 acres of native bushland and
farmland, North Bundaleer was completed in 1901, one of the last grand
Pastoral Homesteads built in South Australia.
Registered on the National Estate, we are situated
190km North of Adelaide, in the Clare Valley region, on the way to the
Flinders Ranges and on the edge of the Outback.

Although the surroundings may be grand, the
ambience is relaxed and informal. Let us welcome you as our guests for a
unique experience of rest and rejuvenation.
The aim of North Bundaleer is to provide an
environment in which to unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures of life—a
good meal, fresh air, and good company.
With the Clare Valley close by, the historic
mining towns of Burra and Mintaro to visit, bushwalking along the Heyson
and Mawson Trails that traverse the Bundaleer Forest, 4-wheel drive
tracks—there is plenty to do, for those feeling more energetic.
Self-drive, or guided—we can organise a day to suit your needs, and pack
up a picnic to enjoy along the way.
For those who prefer to spend
their day relaxing in their surroundings, we can whisk you to the top of
our hill for lunch or a ‘sun downer’ when a change of scene is required.
There are verandas on all sides of the house, so there is always a sunny
or shady spot in which to sit and enjoy the view of the surrounding
countryside and gardens.

Hotel Specialists
Beyond the front courtyard of
NB City sits an immaculately
renovated stone terrace, with a
living room, bedroom, home
office, bathroom, kitchen and
outdoor entertaining area –
perfect for a romantic Adelaide
break or naughty weekend. The
townhouse is compact, but
creative design makes the most
of the available space.
Contemporary colours (aubergine,
teak, mushroom and chalk-white),
savvy technology (flatscreen
TVs, iPod dock, Foxtel and BOSE
stereo) and urban taste (MOMA
prints, Asian knickknacks)
elevate the clever lay out to a
sophisticated plane. This is a
haven to hide away in, catch
your breath, get your bearings
and rejuvenate – a discreet,
shapely bolthole where you can
close the door on stress and go
barefoot on the rugs.

thing was to decide: stay in the lovely red room bed, or go out to
